Cross-progression: Thanks to this technology, Diablo II players can transfer their progress between different PCs and/or consoles (Xbox and PlayStation) and continue playing the game right where they left off. Improved compatibility: Probably the best new feature in this remastered version is the compatibility with Blizzard's service. The main character in Diablo II is on a mission to chase the Dark Wanderer and destroy the soulstone that has kept him possessed by Diablo's evil spirit. This is where the story of Diablo II begins. From this moment, the fallen hero will be known as the Dark Wanderer. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a terrible idea, as Diablo's soul rapidly corrupted the hero. Don't want to waste another respec but I'm hammer'd out.At the end of the story of Diablo I, Diablo is defeated by a hero who decides to drive Diablo's soulstone into his own head in an attempt to contain the feared devil in his own body. Don't think if I can spend another 40 levels spamming hammers over and over. 
I also hate how you can absolutely empty a room in seconds of monsters, yet you'll drink like 4 mana pots casting those stupid hammers trying to kill ONE monster. Usually by the time I'm level 40 with a character I'm quite invested but with this Hammerdin I'm just like yaaaaawn. Not to mention I go through a belt of 12 mana pots after clearing like one level of an area. I'm level 42 and casting this one spell ad nauseum is just I don't know, not fun. but the novelty for me has worn off extremely quickly. I get it, high magic damage and AoE, very simple build to follow, the hammers look cool.
Want to see what all the craze is about and ok.
But after playing on and off for 20 years I'm finally trying my first Paladin with the aim of making him an Smiter Ubers farmer when he reaches lvl 85, playing as Hammerdin along the way. Sorry Hdin fans, we've all got different opinions obviously.
